From Miles of Music:  The third release from Columbus, Ohio`s X-Rated Cowboys packs a rootsy punch in most places, and continues to offer, as with their previous releases, a fine collection of twang-tinged pop rock. Dan Baird is on board again (with Andy Harrison and Joe Oestreich) as producer and pushes the rock edge to greater limits for the band while throwing down a guitar lick or two (or 3!) himself in the process. Deceiving is the lead off track, "Passenger Window", which recalls the folksier side of John Wesley Harding. And curiously, but fittingly, the album closer, "Happy Hour", comes close to Costello`s King Of America style of country pop. But it`s the hidden track (at the albums` true end) that`s really telling of this records` nature as they cleverly incorporate Lynyrd Skynyrd`s easily recognizable lick from "Sweet Home Alabama" into some heavy Southern rock, X-Rated Cowboy style. Singer/songwriter/guitarist Quinn Fallon urges a little more "bitter and bite" from his vocal delivery, and the guitars get a workout in this rockin` set that keeps offering one great tune after another.
